On 22 March, The Grand Palm participated in the annual Purple Walk.  The event promotes unity, and awareness and shows support for those affected by epilepsy. The Purple Walk was a powerful reminder that together, we can break the stigma and create a more inclusive world. The event starts at The Grand Palm Hotel Casino Convention Resort, with a five-kilometre route concluding at Rail Park Mall.

The Purple Walk is an annual event in Botswana organized by Young Epilepsy Botswana (YEB) to raise awareness about epilepsy and support those affected by the condition. Established in 2014, YEB has been hosting this walk to educate the public, dispel myths, and reduce stigma surrounding epilepsy. The 10th annual Purple Walk took place this year, under the theme "Walking for a Purpose, Stand Up for Epilepsy." YEB's chairperson, Naledi Khan, emphasized the importance of educating the public about epilepsy and encouraging acceptance and adherence to treatment for individuals living with the condition and their families.
