After more than two decades as one of Gaborone’s most iconic urban destinations, News Cafe at the Peermont Mondior Hotel in Gaborone has reopened its doors, unveiling a bold P4.2 million transformation that ushers in a new era of design, sophistication, and elevated experiences.

The comprehensive revamp signals the brand’s commitment to innovation while staying true to its roots. Spearheaded by the renowned South African-based Design Partnership Group, the reimagined space captures the essence of Botswana’s natural beauty and cultural identity, fusing traditional elements with contemporary flair.

‘This isn’t just a facelift—it’s a full reinvention,’ says Peermont Botswana General Manager Keletso Bogatsu. ‘We wanted to honour our legacy while creating something fresh, immersive, and versatile for the evolving tastes of our patrons and hotel guests at the Peermont Mondior Hotel.’

The new interiors pay homage to the country’s diverse landscapes, with a neutral colour palette inspired by desert sands, riverbanks, and delta greens.
